- Philip J. Midday, 80, died September 20 at Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, California. Born in Iron Mountain, Michigan. He is survived by two daughters, Marie F. Johnson of Arlington Heights and Patricia N. Cameron of Hawaii; a son, Ernest P. of Wilmette; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters; and a brother. A funeral mass was said September 25 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wilmette. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery.
