- Former Wilmette resident Jane R. Pearson died April 22 at Evanston Hospital. She was 83. Mrs. Pearson was the widow of Donald J. Pearson, a partner in the Pearson Grocery business that was located on Ridge Avenue in Wilmette. The business had been founded by his grandfather, August C. Pearson Sr., in 1922. Donald Pearson died in 1970. She is survived by two sons, Ronald and Donald, of Glenview, and a daughter, Jane Holmstrom of Prospect Heights, as well as eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Northbrook.
