- John J. Schneider, 85, owner and operator of Schneider Shoe Store in Wilmette for 60 years, died July 17, 1986, at Highland Park Hospital. Mr. Schneider is survived by his niece, Mary E. Leuchtner, and nephew, Edmund P. Schneider Jr; and three great-nephews, Robert, Tom and Ned Leuchtner.
