- Lois Carlson Varick, 64, of Barrington, died August 28 in Rochester, Minnesota. She was born November 21, 1925 in Chicago. Her father was Victor E. Carlson. She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Peter. She is survived by her husband, Robert; two sons, Steven of Glencoe and James of Glenn Ellyn, and one brother, Victor Carlson of Rutherfertin, North Carolina. Funeral services were held August 31 in Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home in Highland Park. Interment was in North Northfield Cemetery in Northfield.
