- William C. Thomas III, 40, died at his home in Daytona Beach Shores, Florida, April 1, 2002, photo. Born in Detroit, Mich., and moved to Wilmette in 1968. Survivors include his former wife, Sharon Thomas; a daughter, Shelby Thomas; his parents, Dr. and Mrs. William Thomas Jr. of Wilmette; and two brothers, John J. Thomas of Yuma, Ariz., and Christopher P. Thomas of Chicago.
