- Sylvia A. Welch of Wilmette, 74, died June 23 in Jackson, Mich. Born in West Baden, Ind. She and her husband, Howard A., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 5, 1976. She is also survived by three sons, Howard A., Michael and John; three daughters, Nancy, Marion and Sylvia, and 19 grandchildren. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Evanston.
