- Elizabeth Beck Young of Glenview died Nov. 15 at Glenbrook Hospital. She was 65. Mrs. Young was born in Wilmette. Mrs. Young worked as a receptionist for the late Dr. Phillip H. Pleiss at his office in Winnetka. Survivors include her husband, James I. Young; her children, Joanne Furlong, Jack Beck, Julie Beck, Jim Beck and Susan Bender; a brother, John Jerome Scheuber; and seven grandchildren. Interment was in All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
