- Marine Corps Sgt. Michael C. Murphy, son of Kathleen A. Murphy of Chicago and William A. Murphy of Winnetka, is on deployment while assigned to the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Murphy, a 1995 graduate of New Trier High School, joined the Marine Corps in June 1995.
