- Robert Freeman Spindell, 97, formerly of Kenilworth, died February 18, 2003 in Sarasota, Fla. Born November 17, 1905 in Milford, Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen F. Spindell. Survivors include his wife, Ethel (nee Grimmer) Spindell of Kenilworth; a son, Robert Freeman Spindell Jr. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; nieces and nephews Margaret Nancy Rodgers Little, Lester W. Jr., Richard A. Rodgers, Marianne F. Rodgers Frick, Paul S. and Marie Elizabeth Viita, Marguerite G. Edwards and Edith G. Brunner; and a sister, Marie Spindell Viita of New Seabury, Massachusetts.
