- James K. Patterson to move musical instruments and household accessories store from 828 Davis Street, Evanston, to 816-818 Church Street; James and his brother, the late Bernard F. Patterson, Wilmette, opened store at 1522 Sherman Avenue, Evanston in 1905 as agents for Singer Sewing Machine Company, then added musical instruments and household accessories; Mr. Patterson erecting a two-story building to enable a larger line of merchandise; new building ready for occupancy about 1 May 1924; also conducts store at 1950-1952 Irving Park Boulevard, Chicago; Bernard F. died at his Wilmette residence June 24, 1923.
