Donald Duncan, Sr., for forty years a resident of Winnetka, passed away at the home of his son, Francis, 1040 Oak street, at 8 o'clock Wednesday morning. For the past four years he had been in failing health, and divided his time between Winnetka and Gulfport, Mississippi. Survivors are the widow, Susan; two sons, Francis of Winnetka and Donald Jr., of Westmont, Illinois; two brothers, Francis and Hugh of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 o'clock from his late residence to the Church of the Holy Comforter, Kenilworth. Burial will be private. In the interim the remains will be at his late residence. Mr. Duncan was born near Dundee, Scotland. In 1865 he came to America with his family and settled in Kendall, Wisconsin. In 1892 he was married to Susan Cornish, and moved to Chicago in order to be closer to his work, that of a locomotive engineer on the Chicago and North Western railroad. Forty years ago they moved to Winnetka, where they had since resided.
