Mrs. E. J. Lewis Dies
Mrs. H. B. Gates, 1126 Wilmette avenue, left the village this week to attend the funeral of her sister, Mrs. E. J. Lewis, at Saux Center, So. Dak. [South Dakota]. Mrs. Lewis, mother of Sinclair Lewis, famous author of "Main Street," died suddenly Tuesday, June 14. She had many friends in Wilmette and had recently visited in the village.- Media Type
