A lifelong resident of Gross Point, now west Wilmette, Miss Mary Borre died Friday at the St. Francis hospital, Evanston, following a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday at St. Joseph's church, with burial in St. Joseph's cemetery. She was the daughter of pioneer settlers from Germany, now dead, and who 87 years ago built the house where Miss Borre lived until shortly before her death, at 2515 Glenview road. She was a member of the church, of the Ladies' society and the Altar and Rosary society. Surviving her are a brother and two sisters: John, Lizzie and Anna, all of Wilmette.
