Norman Lewis Johnson, 58, for many years an Evanston resident and recently of Chicago, died Saturday, June 18 [1949], in Chicago after a short illness. A veteran of World War I, Mr. Johnson was formerly an advertising salesman for this newspaper. He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. He was the son of Mrs. Elizabeth F. Johnson. In addition, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James Corrington of Bloomington and Miss Betsey Johnson of Springfield, Ill., and three brothers, Elliott and Carlton E., both of Evanston and Harold of Omaha. Private services were conducted Tuesday, June 21, at the Hebblethwaite Chapel by the Rev. Frank C. Alderson, with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.
