Full Text: Horace R. Hitchcock, former resident of Wilmette for 29 years, died early Wednesday morning, June 22 [1949] in his home 334 East Camelback Road, Phoenix, Arizona. He was 71 years old. In ill health since his retirement from the Chicago firm of Hornblower and Weeks in 1947, Mr. Hitchcock moved to Phoenix eight months ago. Surviving is his daughter, Betty of Phoenix. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 24 in Memory Chapel of A. L. Moore and Sons Mortuary with the Rev. Frederick Barnhill of the First Congregational Church officiating. Mr. Hitchcock had been a member of the Wilmette Congregational Church in Evanston.
