Brown, Frank A. (Died)

Frank A. Brown, 945 Michigan avenue, for more than twenty years a resident of Wilmette and head of the Squire Dingee company, 1918 Elston avenue, Chicago, succumbed suddenly at his home at 11 o’clock Tuesday morning to a heart attack.

Mr. Brown had been for some time afflicted with angina pectoris, a condition of the heart, but had been in comparative good health and had spent Monday evening at the Skokie Country club. Shortly after returning home, however, he suffered a severe attack from which he rallied quickly with the aid of physicians who attended him. He was feeling much improved Tuesday morning and was considering going to his office when stricken by the attack that resulted in his death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 o’clock Friday afternoon from the chapel at Rosehill cemetery with brief private rites preceding them at the family residence.

Mr. Brown is survived by his widow, two daughters, Dorothy Grace Patten of Deere Park, and Gertrude Brown, residing with her parents, and one son, Olney of Evanston, who was associated with his father in the Squire Dingee company. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. D. P. Brown, East Lake Terrace, Rogers Park, and one brother, Harry Brown, 819 Ashland avenue, Wilmette.

Mr. Brown was probably one of the best known citizens of the Village and enjoyed a very wide circle of friends, especially among the older residents. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity and of the Shawnee and Skokie Country clubs.
