Robey, Clarence (Died)
- Full Text
Clarence Robey, of Chicago, who saw much of life through the lens of a camera, will shoot no more pictures. At 31, death claimed the photographer in the Rogers Park hospital on Monday.
Readers probably will remember some of the pictures he took for this paper several months ago and they'll say that he "knew how to take pictures." On sunshiny days and in winter blasts he'd come out to the north shore in his spare time to make pictures because we asked him to help out "in the pinch." It was "in the pinch" that he was at his best.
He was president of the Camera Men's association of Chicago, an organization of newspaper photographers. He was a member of the Chicago Evening American staff. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Louise Robey, and his father, William Robey.- Featured Link
