- Bernard E. Busscher, 74 founder and retired proprietor of the Buscher Hardware store, 817 Ridge Road, Wilmette, died suddenly Saturday evening [23 Jun 1956] at 2739 Glenview Road, Wilmette, his home for the past four months. Mr. Busscher was born in New Trier Township on July 2, 1881. He was the husband of Mrs. Martha Swiderski Busscher; the father of Mrs. Elizabeth Lynch of Fairbanks, Alaska, Miss Margaret Busscher of 1756 Washington Avenue, and George B., of 817 Ridge Road, both of Wilmette. Bernard P. of Deerfield, Anthony J. of Chicago, the late Mrs. Catherine M. Conlin, and the late Mrs. Mary E. Horgan. Place of interment was St. Joseph's Cemetery.
