Mr. and Mrs. Roy C. Osgood 423 Essex road, and sons, Robert and Alfred, motored home, arriving last Friday from the East where they have been spending the summer at Hyannisport, Mass. Mr. Gilbert Osgood remained in the East to camp out in the White Mountains before attending Exeter, in New Hampshire.

Congressman Henry Riggs Rathbone and Mrs. Rathbone, 312 Cumnor road, entertained as guests last weekend. Mr. Richard J. Harney, who has just returned from Boston, and his fiancee, Miss Kathryn Daly, of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Harry F. Atwood, of Chicago, and the Misses Edith and Mabel Harney, of Milwaukee.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward B. Rathbone, of Pasadena, formerly of Wilmette, were here last week visiting Mrs. John Rathbone 423 Abbottsford Road, on their way to Europe to be gone until January. Mrs. Rathbone entertained for them Thursday, their guests being old friends in Wilmette.

Miss Elizabeth Hannah, 256 Woodstock avenue, returned Sunday from a visit with Miss Eleanor Clements in Rochester, N. Y., and a houseparty in the Adirondacks.

Mr. Humbert Tinsman spent a few days this week with Mr. Elbridge Keith, 310 Warwick road, en route from New York city to his home in Kansas City, Mo.

Mrs. Thomas A. Kennedy entertained at luncheon and bridge Thursday in honor of Mrs. Gruner, who has been her guest for the summer and is returning this week.

Miss Mary Hannah, 256 Woodstock avenue, returned home Monday from Springfield, Ohio, where she was the guest of Miss Jane Ward Johnson.

Miss Vivian Witherbee of the Kenilworth Inn returned Saturday after spending an enjoyable summer on a ranch in Wyoming.

The Garden club met Thursday at the home of Mrs. James Prentiss, 201 Cumberland avenue. The Winnetka gardens were visited during the afternoon.

Mr. Percy B. Eckhart, 206 Cumberland avenue, has returned from a western trip through the Canadian Rockies with Mr. Polasek, the sculptor.

Miss Jane Ridgway, Miss Bernice Bulley, and Miss Dorothy May leave Sunday to enter as freshmen at Wellesley college, Mass.

Miss Marion Reeves, of Wausau, Mich, spent a few days last week with Miss Hellen Reeves, while en route from California.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward B. Parmelee are spending a few weeks at their daughter's home, Mrs. S. L. Hypes, 1104 Crescenet drive, Glencoe.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Joyce, 531 Essex orad, entertained at a buffet supper and bridge last Saturday evening at the North Shore Golf club.

Mr. and Mrs. Rufus K. Porter and Master Ned Porter, 428 Cumnor road, returned Home Saturday after spending the summer at Lincolnsville, Maine.

Miss Clarabel Russ, 307 Melrose avenue, entertained her friends informally Tuesday evening.

Mr. Robert Osgood, 423 Essex road, leaves Sunday to attend Exeter.
