Notes: Cafeterias in all six WIlmette Elementary Schocol District 29 schools will buy and serve as much local produce as possible. Comments by Superintendent Ray Lechner. Harper parent, Diane Schaffner helped prepare a shipment of fresh corn provided by a Chicago Heights farm only 15 miles from Wilmette. She and parent Tia Raine Vivian have worked on the new program inspired by teacher Kathy Hofschield. Lisa Winter is the district's food service coordinator.
