- The Catholic Church, represented by the Polish archbishop, is going to buy property in the area known as the "blind pig" outlaw region west of Evanston. The property being purchased by the Catholic church is between Florence and Wesley avenues and Wilder street, and will be the site for a new church and parish. Father Seldheim is organizing the new church while George A. Kearney from the Evanston Municipal association is working on getting this area annexed to Evanston.
