- A gang of bomb throwers and sluggers were arrested near the barns of the Johnson Dairy company on Sheridan Rd. Two of the five people arrested were believed to be the leaders in the slugging campaign that has attended recent strikes of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters in and around Chicago. These leaders are Edward Riley, aka "Gold Tooth" Riley, 2513 W. Thirteenth St., Chicago, and Earl, aka "Ralph", Sargent. Others were a woman calling herself Catherine Riley, Edwin O'Connell and John Mullaney. One of the arresting officers was Assistant Chief Robert Johnston and the prisoners were brought up before Judge Boyer.
