Dr. and Mrs. N.P. Colwell, 717 Elmwood avenue, left Saturday for a three weeks' trip to California.

Mr. Ferdinand Brahm, 1330 Greenwood avenue, returned Sunday from a fortnight's business trip to New York.

Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ascher have taken the J.C. Crossley house at 407 Washington avenue, for the summer.

Mr. Howard Searle returned last week to his home at 527 Washington avenue from Howe Military academy, Indiana.

Mrs. Frank Robbins, 1026 Linden avenue, left last week for Berkeley, California, where she will spend the summer.

Mr.W.C. Shurtleff, 815 Lake avenue, returned Saturday evening from a short trip to Clear Lake and Waterloo, Iowa.

Mr. William Wisehart of Chicago was the weekend guest of his sister, Mrs. James S. Kendall, 802 Elmwood avenue.

Miss Estelle R. Martin is spending the week with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Pettit, 1033 Ashland avenue.

Mrs. Alfred D. Hermann, 1124 Greenleaf avenue, is convalescing at the Evanston hospital from a serious operation.

Mrs. James L. Cocke and her sister, Mrs. McGill, 110 Broadway avenue, are attending the Panama-Pacific exposition this month.

Mr. Earle P. Gowing, 630 Washington avenue, has returned from Princeton university, where he has been attending school

Mrs. John E. Franz and small son, Edmond, 507 Washington avenue, have returned from a visit in Columbus and Dayton, Ohio.

Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Crossley have rented their house at 407 Washington avenue, and will stay temporarily at 245 Linden avenue.

Mr. Robert Wenban, 900 Lake avenue, will return this evening from Dartmouth college, where he has been attending school.

Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Burt and son, Jesse, 1027 Elmwood avenue, attended the alumni reunion of the University of Illinois this week.

Mr. J. Parker Gowing, 630 Washington avenue, is attending the convention at Atlantic Ciry of the M.C.B.and M.N. associatiolns.

Mr. Roland Montague of Kansas City, Missouri, was the guest over the weekend of Dr. C.G. Smith's family, 1325 Greenwood avenue.

Mr. and Mrs. James G. Wray and family, 618 Washington avenue, will leave Monday for their summer home at Lake Kegonsa, Wisconsin.

Mr. Harry W. Mons, 921 Oakwood avenue, left town this week on a forthnight's business trip to Denver, Colorado, and Salt Lake City.

Mr. and Mrs. Friedlander of Chicago are occupying the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wolf at 514 Washington avenue during their absence.

Mrs. S. C. Skinner left Tuesday for a visit with her son in Austin after being the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Frederick E. White, 1021 Central avenue.

Mr. and MRs. Herbert G. Arms, 33 Crescent place, are making an extended trip through the east, stopping in Washington D.C., and other points of interest.

Mr. and lMrs. E. E. Besser of Greenwood avenue, had as their guests last week, Mr. and Mrs. D.M. Shaw of Ada, Oklahoma, and Mr. O.H. Rice of Butte, Montana.

Mrs. C.W. Crocker and daughter, Catherine, left last week for California and Honolulu, where they will spend the summer visiting relatives and friends.

Mrs. Robert Smith and her daughter, Mrs. Rexford Bellamy and three children of 1050 Linden avenue, left Tuesday for Pasadena, California, to be gone all summer.

Miss Ruth Gates returned the latter part of last week from Burlington, Iowa, to spend the summer with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry B. Gates, 1126 Wilmette avenue.

Word has been received by Wilmette friends from Mr. and Mrs. Walter W. Baldwins, 212 Woodbine avenue, who left recently to attend the fair at San Francisco, California.

Mrs. Dr. Crippen returned to her home in Waterloo, Iowa, the first of

this week after being the guest of her sister-in-law, Mrs. W.C. Shurtleff, 815 Lake avenue, for a few days.

Miss Helen Ohlendorf of Linden avenue has gone to Terre Haute, Indiana, to attend the graduation exercises of Saint Mary's of the Woods and the Rose Polytechnic Institute.

Mrs. W.J. Everhardt and small son of Oklahoma, left Sunday for a visit with relatives in Austin, after spending ten days as the guest of Miss Frances Slade, 117 Broadway avenue.

Miss Helen Dingee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel S. Dingee, who but recently moved to Wisconsin, has returned from Smith college, and is spending a few days with relatives in the village.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Melville Brown and daughter, Elizabeth, of 738 Eleventh street let this week for the San Diego and Panama expositions. Returning, they will spend several weeks in Colorado, visiting in Denver, Colorado Springs, Estes Park and other interesting points.

Mr. Marshall Davies will return this evening to his home at 530 Forest avenue, from Dartmouth college, and will bring with him three fellow students Messrs. Robert and Jack Campbell of Duluth, Minn., and William Hariz of St. Louis, Mo., to attend the races on next Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. E. R. James, Forest avenue, near Thirteenth street, and a party of friends returned early Monday morning from a week's motoring trip to Green Bay, Wisconsin. Despite the rain, blowouts and other inconveniences, a most delightful time was reported.

Mr. and Mrs. Frederick J. Crossley and little daughter, of 600 Washington avenue, and Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Crossley and daughte, of 25 LInden avenue, will leave July 3 for a month's trip via Toledo, Ohio, and Buffalo, to Honesdale, Pennsylvania, where they will visit at the Crossley home.

Mr. Paul E. Lobanoff and Miss Vera Lobanoff of 1118 Greenleaf avenue, have been attending a number of delightful social functions in Evanston during the past fortnight, given in connection with the university. On Thursday evening of last week they were guests at the wedding of Miss Marie Vick and Dr. Swanson.

Dr. and Mrs. Donald Mackay Gallie and son attended the commencement exercises of the University of Illinois at Urbana, Wednesday. Donald Muirhood Gallie received the degree of doctor of dental surgery. Dr. Gallie, Jr., will open an office with his father in suite 1010-1012 at 32 N. State street, Chicago.

On Saturday, June 26, Mrs. Albert W. Noyes and her daughter, Miss Marjorie Noyes of 827 Oakwood avenue, and her nephew, Mr. Clifford Payson of Connecticut, will leave on a five weeks' trip to the coast. They will visit at Grand Canon, Los Angeles, San Francisco and other points in California, Portland, Seattle, and return by way of Yellowstone Park.
