- John A. Jones of [damaged] Clark St., Chicago, was arrested by Sergeant Ralph Ackerman of the Fifth United States cavalry for defacing the outside of R.J. Beatty's home, 530 Forest Av., Highland Park. Beatty [damaged], Alfred [damaged] and G. J. McBride had their homes painted this spring with non-union labor. All three houses were smeared on Saturday night. The police were notified by Mrs. F. Wean who heard the fight between the cavalry man and the painter. Jones was given a preliminary hearing in Justice Smith's court.
