- The Wilmette District 39 School Board is prepared to sell $5.2 million in life-safety bonds after cancelling an earlier plan that made it too difficult for taxpayers to follow the money. The School bBoard will hold a public hearing Thursday on its plan to sell the bonds to complete building work required by the state. The largest items will be roof replacements at all six schools.
