- First Presbyterian Church of Wilmette. The pastor, Dr. Wilson's, sermon plans described. Miss Corette will give a preliminary organ recital. Mr. Alfred G. Freeman will sing. Mrs. Charles C. Oliver of Kenilworth is the president of the Woman's Society. Mr. Thomas E. D. Bradley will read a paper and lead discussion at the Wednesday night meeting Oct. 8 on the topic of Jesus' trial and execution from a lawyer's point of view. Rally Day is Oct. 11.
Wilmette Methodist Episcopal Church. Rev. T. K. [Thomas Keene] Gale will preach. Double quarter will sing in charge of Miss Dorothy Rae. Epworth league meeting will feature presentation by Mr. and Mrs. Brand about their trip to the Holy Land. At the monthly social and business meeting of the Epworth league last night, Mr. J. C. Mannerud was elected president to replace Mr. J. E. Dean. Dean has been appointed pastor of the Methodist Church at Braidwood, Illinois. The Bible study class will meet at the home of Mrs. J. E. Dean, 630 Park Ave. Bible Rescue mission is Saturday night.
Wilmette Baptist Church. Sunday services were held in the Woman's Club building, Greenleaf avenue and Tenth St. Rev. T. Johnson Bolger of Rochester, N.Y. will preach. Devotional meeting held Wednesday, Oct. 15, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Gathercoal, 1538 Forest avenue.
