The last debt paid for the estate of Colonel John Jacob Astor, the most famous victim of the Titanic disaster, will help build the memorial in Washington to the men and women who died on the liner. Mrs. Archibald Forbes, a New york social leader, is the woman to whom the debt was paid, and she has forwarded the money to the offices of the Women's Titanic memorial of this city. The dollar bill was handed to her by Col. Astor when the party of which they were members settled up for the last bridge game played in the social salon before the Titanic went down.
