Mr. Charles E. Siddall, 425 Lee street, has engaged in business at Bagdad, Florida.

W. L. Vance, 1554 Asbury avenue, has gone to Ocean Springs, Mississippi, to join his family.

Miss Helen B. Beals, 307 Davis St., is home from Wellesley college fo the holidays.

Dr. Comfort E. Peck of Highland Park is visiting his cousin, Miss H. E. Davis at the Avenue House.

Mrs. G. S. Ingraham and daughter, Miss Helen, 2237 Ridge Avenue, have gone on a visit to Rochester, Indiana.

Mrs. Ella H. Gallup, 936 Hinman avenue, is home, having spent the past two months in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Mr. Morris Wilson of Yale, is spending the Christmas holidays with his brother, Mr. Oliver T. Wilson, 222 Lake street.

Miss Louise Ross, who is teaching at Galva, Illinois, is home for the holidays with her parents at the Avenue House.

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin F. Fitch and little daughter Sallie, 1220 Judson avenue, left last night to spend six weeks at Ocala, Florida.

Mrs. Charles S. Quinlan, 728 Colfax street, has gone to West Palm Beach, Florida, for the winter. Mr. Quinlan is at the Avenue House.

Miss Katherine Brundage of Lansing, Michigan, who has been visiting Miss Margaret Moore since November 1, left for home Saturday.

Walter Wing, son of Mr. and Mrs. Luman R. Wing, is home for the holidays from the Asheville School for Boys at Asheville, N.C.

The regular meeting of the Camp Fire Girls was held Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. E. L. Neilson, 2200 Harrison St.

Mr. and Mrs. Wellington Cobb, 1111 Maple avenue, left Tuesday to spend Christmas with Mrs. Cobb's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Daily at Batavia, Illinois.

Miss Mary Longley, the eighth grade teacher of the Central street school, left Friday for her home in Des Plaines, Illinois, where she will spend the holidays with her parents.

Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Woolworth and little son Curtis, 2104 Harrison Street, left Monday for Omaha, Nebraska, for a Christmas visit with Mrs. Woolworth's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Curtis.

Miss Katherine W. Kingsley, who has been attending the Sargent School of Physical Culture at Cambridge, Mass., is home for the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Kingsley, 2333 Lincoln St.

Mrs. E. C. Barnes, 2753 Woodbine avenue, is expecting her mother, Mrs. C. W. Gunther of Dunkirk, N.Y., and her sister, Miss Emma H. Gunther of the Teachers' College, New York City, to spend the holidays with her.

Mrs. J. W. Wertz, who with her two little ones has been visiting her father, Mr. Robert Stewart, 1022 Wesley avenue, will return to their home in Stewart, Nebraska, Monday. Her father will accompany her home and stay for the holidays there.

Mr. James Dennis and his sister, Mrs. Janet Daggett, with their niece, Miss Rose Dennis of Glencoe, spent a few days as the guests of Mr. Dennis' cousin, Mrs. S. C. Ingraham, 2237 Ridge avenue, before leaving for their winter home in Florida. Miss Clara Corlett, 1110 Grant Street, accompanied them.

Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Brown, 2235 Harrison street, entertained at a delightful dinner Friday evening in honor of their twelfth anniversary. the house and especially the table was beautifully decorated with Christmas holly and ribbons. Covers were laid for twelve. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. E. Edmund Bets, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Peabody, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Witter, Mr. and Mrs. William Franzen and Dr. and Mrs. Frank O. Beck.

Mr. Charles Roberts, 2444 Hartrey avenue, returned Monday from a business trip to Kansas City.

Miss Edna Jones, 827 Sherman avenue, is home from Minneapolis, Minn. She came Friday.

Mr. Edwin Austin, Hartzell street, has returned for Christmas from St. John's Military academy.

Mr. Arthur B. Dale, 2327 Central street, is spending the holidays with his parents in Omaha, Nebraska.

Mrs. Irwin Rew, 1128 Ridge avenue, has as her guest her brother, Mr. Jewett Jones of St. Louis, Mo.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tietgens gave a Christmas dance at their home, 1622 Forest place, Monday night.

Loomis Hypes, 1126 Michigan avenue, is engaged in a concert tour with the Triangle Club of Princeton.

Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Swift and little son, malcolm, 838 Michigan avenue, left Monday for Rensselaer, Indiana.

Dr. and Mrs. George T. Baanzet, 422 Greenleaf street, left Monday for Ormond, Florida, to spend Christmas.

Mr. Barclay W. Cunningham ,1318 Forest avenue, has gone home to Kansas city for the Christmas holidays.

Miss Gladys Jackson, 838 Michigan avenue, left Saturday night for a couple of weeks' vacation in Rensselaer, Indiana.

Mr. Nathan Thayer, 1100 Hinman avenue, returned Saturday from the University of Wisconsin for the holidays.

Mr. and Mrs. John J. Bunch of the Roycroft left today for Lincoln, Nebraska, to spend Christmas at Mr. Bunch's home.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry A. Apps, 2315 Harrison St., will spend Christmas at Riverside with relatives and friends.

Miss Margaret Clarke of Cleveland, Ohio, of the Visitation academy, will spend her vacation in Chicago with relatives.

Mr. Elvyn Mac Rae, 2525 Park place, has returned home for the Christmas holidays from St. John's Military academy.

Mr. Harold Bennett, 2508 Hartzell street, has come home to spend the Christmas holidays from St. John's Military academy.

Mr. Nathan Carpenter of Dolores, Colorado, is home to spend two months with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. F. Cerpenter [Carpenter], 746 Forest avenue.

Miss Theodora Gratham of Madison, Wis., is spending the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Grantham, 2415 Hartzell St.

Mrs. Clara Earhart and daughter, Miss Ruth Earhart, 628 Univiersity place, have gone to their old home, Chrisman, Illinois, to spend Christmas.

Mrs. George Craig Stewart and little son, Jack, 404 Lee St., came home yesterday from a visit with her sister, Mrs. Roth, at Providence, R. I.

Mrs. Wells, who has been spending some time as the guest of her sister, Mrs. George S. Valentine, 2407 Pioneer Road, left Saturday for Milwaukee, where she will spend Christmas with her daughter, Mrs. Atwater.

The members of the Evanston W. C. T. U. who braved the weather and attended the meeting for December in spite of Christmas activities were rewarded by a highly interesting meeting. Christmas hymns and scriptures, the discussion and adoption of the yearly program, the addition of seven new members and a charming rendition of "Joe Fenton's Mariage" from "Sevenoaks," by Miss Mud Newman of Edgewater, made the program which was followed by a social cup of delicious cocoa.

Miss Mary Connor, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. Thomas Creigh, left Tuesday for St Louis, Mo.

Mrs. L. D. Burch, 2014 Lincoln street, is entertaining her granddaughter, Miss Blossom Burch of Waupaca, Wisconsin.

Mr. Andrew Parker, Jr., who has visited his niece, Mrs. Thomas I. Stacey, 1312 Church st., has gone to San Francisco, California.

Mr. Theodore Chaffee and daughter, Miss Theodora Chaffee, 2501 Harrison St., have returned from a short visit in Boston, Mass.

Miss Lydia Harrer is home from Naperville, Ill., for the holidays, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Harrer, 1827 Orrington Avenue.

Miss Alice Richardson, 1217 Lee street, will spend her Christmas vacation in Boston. She is attending the Sargent School of Physical Culture.

Miss Dorothy Bailey, 730 Michigan avenue, is in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, the guest of her uncles, Mr. R. B. Harris and Mr. J. M. Harris for Christmas.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry F. Ward and children, 2515 Park place, went last week to Los Angeles, California. Their home will be occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Dan B. Brummitt.

Mr. and Mrs. Merritt Mott and children of Rockford, Illinois, are spending the holidays with Mrs. Mott's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Bowman, 2308 Harrison street.

Mr. Roscoe E. Scofield and his sister, Miss Eunice Scofield, a teacher in the Lincoln school, left Monday night to spend their Christmas vacation at their home, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Woolworth and little son, Curtis, 2104 Harrison street, left Monday for Omaha, Nebraska, for a visit with Mrs. Woolworth's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Curtis.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard H. Hoyt, 1425 Davis street, are having as their guest, their son, Mr. Gerald Hoyt, who has just come home from a six months' stay on a ranch near Red Bluff, California.

Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Burden, Mr. and Mrs. George Burden and Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Fisher, 721 Washington street, will spend Christmas in Waukegan as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Carr.

Mrs. William Evans and two daughters of Chicago have rented the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Benson, 1016 Grove street, who are going to Boston the first of the year to reside.

The Misses Beatrice and Gertrude Morley returned Thursday afternoon from St. Almas college, St. Thomas, Canada, and will enjoy their holiday vacation with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richardd A. Morley, 1012 Hinman Avenue.

Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Goodnov, 1627 Wesley avenue, left Monday for Glen Ridge, New Jersey, and will be the Christmas guests of their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. William Shields. On their way home they will stop in Boston.

A delightful song service was rendered Sunday afternoon at the covenant M. E. Church, Evanton, by a special quartet, composed of Miss Johnston, Soprano; Miss Stand, Contralto; Mr. Denton, Tenor, and Mr. Rogers, Basso, with Mr. Myron Carr at the organ.

An unfortunate mistake has been made in the tickets issued for the next meeting of the French Club of Evanson. They should read that the meeting will be Monday, December 30, instead of December 23. The meeting will be at the home of Mrs. C. H. Bosworth, 225 Hamilton street.

The Engagement of Miss Ruth Estelle Browning of Northwestern University to Vincent Warren of Bath, Ill., is announced. Miss Browning is a graduate of Elgin High School and a junior at Northwestern. Mr. Warren is a graduate of Northwestern academy. The young people met while attending college and the wedding will take place next fall.
