- Peter J. Kirchens Sr., 82, 142 Thelin Ct., Wilmette, died June 1 at St. Francis Hospital, Evanston. Mr. Kirchens is survived by a son, Peter Jr., Glenview; three daughters, Mrs. Caroline Pettinger, Wilmette, Mrs. Barbara Schneider, Wilmette, and Mrs. Rose Miller, Wilmette; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Burial was at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
