- Jose Alonzo, age 17, died when he brushed against a power cable in a tree the morning of August 24. He was working as a tree trimmer in front of the Lewis Butterman home at 214 Hibbard Rd., Wilmette. at the time. His family lives in the community of Harlingen, Texas, having immigrated from Matamoros, Mexico. Comments by family friend Anacelto Botello.
