Notes
A Parent Literacy presentation will take place at 7 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Joseph Sears School, 542 Abbotsford Road, Kenilworth. Literacy specialist, Ellin Keene, author of Mosaic of Thought: The Power of Comprehension Strategy Instruction and To Understand: New Horizons in Reading Comprehension, will present to parents. For more information contact Libby Noell.

Third, fourth and fifth grade students interested in improvisation and fun theater may sign up to participate in the dramatic arts program which take place from 12:10-12:40 p.m. for six weeks beginning Feb. 17.

The Winter Sports Banquet for athletes, parents and coaches is scheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Kenilworth Assembly Hall.

The Winnetka Alliance for Early Childhood will meet at 1:15 p.m. Feb. 24.

Joseph Sears students in sixth, seventh and eighth grades will participate in the Science Olympiad Regional tournament Feb. 27.

Spelling Bee Winners are Valentia Sundell, first place; Kendall Lobo, second place; and Jeffrey McHugh, third place.

Geography Bee Winners are Jack Sheridan, first place; Katie Callaci second place; and Peter Wallace third place.
