Funeral services for Charles Francis Henning, 55 years old, 909 Sheridan road, Glencoe, who was fatally injured in an automobile accident Thursday evening of last week and who passed away on Saturday at the Highland Park hospital, were held on Monday afternoon at his late residence, with burial at Rosehill cemetery. The accident occurred when Mr. and Mrs. Henning were driving north on Skokie highway near deerfield. Their automobile ran out of gasoline, and Mr. Henning alighted and stood in front of the car's headlights, hoping to attract a passing motorist. A few minutes later an automobile driven by Peter Lanners of Lake Forest rammed into the rear of the Henning car, catapalting it on Mr. Henning. Mr. Henning, who was a vice-president and director of the United States Gypsum corporation, is survived, besides his widow, by two daughters, Mrs. Adam Cornelius, Jr., of Buffalo, N.Y. , and Mrs. Percival Hunter of Niles Center.
