- Royal Dawes Smith, 706 Elmwood avenue, Wilmette, was fatally injured, Wednesday, October 22, in an automobile accident which occurred ten miles east of Gary, Ind. His friend, Lionel G. Thorsness, who was driving the car, suffered a back injury. Born in Jersey City, N. J. He was 65 years old at the time of his death. Interment was in Memorial Park cemetery. Mr. Smith leaves his widow, Florence K. Smith, two sons, Robert D. of Evanston, and Stanley W. of Wilmette, and four granddaughters.
