- Public tax hearing set for December before the levy is adopted at the Dec. 8 Village Board meeting. . In the proposed 2010 budget, property taxes are projected to total 36.3% of the revenue for hte general fund, compared with 32.6 % in this years budget. The village staff forecasts a loss of revenue from sales taxes, income taxes, permit fees and real estate transfer taxes. The 1010 budget is available for review at the Village Hall, the Wilmette Public Library and on the village web site.
