- George L. Hess, formerly of Wilmette, died Feb.21 in Cocoa Beach. Fla. He is survived by his wife, Annette; daughters Barbara Menyhart of Cocoa Beach and Carol Dixon of Boca Raton, Fla.; a brother, William of Santa Barbara, Cal.; a sister, Eleanor Florence of Arlington Heights; and five grandchildren. Burial was in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
