- Jason Kopelman (New Trier) competed with the United States' junior men's eight that took fourth place Saturday at the 2009 World Rowing Junior Championships in Rive-la-Gaillarde, France. On Friday, Matt Clark (New Trier) and Viktor Romanov of Russia won first place in the C final of the men's pair to finish 13th overall.
