At the World Championships in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Lili Ferguson of Winnetka won the gold medal in middleweight Jumite and a bronze medal in team kata. Dan Kiefer of Glencoe won a bronze medal in team kumite. At the National Championships Ferguson won gold in team ata, with Glencoe's Katy Spitzer-Cohn, while Aaron Dubnow, also of Glencoe, also won a gold. At the Maccabi Games held in Israel July 13-23 Mara Dubnow of Glencow won two bronze medals.

The Wilmette Travelers 10A Green Team took second place in the North Shore Baseball League's season ending tournament. Green team members are: Dutcher Boyd,Charlie Burton, Sean Douaire, Michael Graham, Charlie Hezamer, Matt Kann, Eric Nicholas, Thomas Nugent, Connor Prassas, Gavin Spence, Danny Sullivan, Henry Trevor and coaches John Hesamer , Tim Nugent and John Kann.
