Notes
The house at 1925 Birdchwood Ave., Wilmette was built as a farm house in 1843 by Jacob Schwall. In 1921 Simon Schwall moved the house to Birchwood Ave. from its former location on Ridge Road. The last Schwall family member to live there, Frances Schwall, has sold the house to new owners who will tear it down to replace it with a new dwelling. Comments by Patrick Leary, curator of the Wilmette Historical Museum.
