- John Simpson Reid, 92, of 223 Seventeenth street, Wilmette, died Wednesday, October 20, at Ravenswood hospital, Chicago. Born in Kilmarnock, Scotland. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William A. Owens of Kokomo, Ind., and Mrs. Edward E. Maston of Wilmette; on son, John S. Reid Jr. of Chicago; five grandchildren, Robert E. Maston of Kahel, Afghanistan; Mrs. Raymond Hart of Wilmette, William A. Owens of Chicago, and Barbarta Reid Owens and John D. Owens of Kokomo; and one great-grandchild, Sally Jean Hart.
