- Mrs. Christine Schaefgen Kivland, 77, of 1942 Washington street, Wilmette, died Friday in St. Francis Hospital. Mrs. Kivland was born in the village when it was known as Gross Point. Surviving are her husband, Patrick; five sons, James, 413 Glenshire road, Glenview; Thomas of Atlanta, Ga.; Paul, 1942 Washington street, Wilmette; Francis of Chicago; and Emmett, 1407 Forest avenue, Wilmette; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Moss of Des Plaines and Mrs. Gertrude Cedarlund of Chicago; three brothers, Peter, 1945 Birchwood avenue; John, 1911 Central avenue; and George, 1938 Washington street, all of Wilmette; five sisters, Mrs. Barbara Tobin of Oak Park; Mrs. Ann Parks of Chicago; Mrs. Marion Kivland, 1942 Washington street; Mrs. Rose Gaughan, 260 Wood court; and Mrs. Margaret Ludovice, 1936 Washington street, all of Wilmette; 17 grandchildren; and 32 great-grand children.
