- Fred E. Owens, 70, of 1612 Forest Av., Wilmette died Nov. 19 in Evanston Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Marie; two sons, Thomas and Fred Jr.; two daughters, Caroline and Mrs. Katherine Taylor; and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Conn, Mrs. Florence Detrich and Mrs. Clara Lewis. Another daughter, Mary Elizabeth, was killed Nov. 2 in a traffic accident in Bali, Indonesia.
He was the publisher of the Wilmette-based trade magazine, Fishing Tackle Trade News - Date of Publication
