- Elmer Valkenaar, 68, of Niles, died Tuesday in St. Ann's Hospital in Chicago. Born in Chicago. Survivors include his widow, Esther; a daughter, Mrs. Charmaine Brown of Los Angeles; two sons, Charles of Mundelein and Elmer of Orange, Cal.; two sisters; a brother; and nine grandchildren.
