- Restoration experts commenced work on a project to restore a century old art mural with ties to Wilmette's early history. Comments by museum director, Kathy Hussey-Arntson. The mural was created in 1909 by Wilmette artist Mattie Akeley. It depicts Native American life along the North Shore area.
