- The Women's Boarfd of the Adler Planetarium sponsored its sixth annual Celestial Ball on Nov. 1 at the Adler Planetarium. The event raised a net amount of $420,000. The dinner chair was Pamela Cramer of Winnetka assisted by Meg Prendergast of Chicago and Michelle Vanderlaan of Oak Park. President of the Board is Caroline Becker Joss of River Forest and the president of the Adler Planetarium is Paul H. Knappenberger, Jr. Some of the guests included David and Barbara Speer and Carol and Carl Vander Wilt of Winnetka, Susan Lovell of Lake Forest and Sarah and John Fritz of Wilmette.
