- J. Walter Nelson, 75, of Northfield, died Aug. 19. He was the vice president and treasurer of Nelson Laundry in Evanston and Wilmette. He is survived by his wife, Katherine; a son, J. Walter of Glenview; a stepson, Derth Kelley of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Gerda McAlvey of Glencoe, brothers Earl of Austin, Tex. and Harold of Wilmette, and five grandchildren.
