- Gertrude M. Evans, 98, of 900 Pawnee Rd., Wilmette, died Aug. 1 in Evanston Hospital. She is survived by a daughter, Lucille Steinmetz of Wilmette and a son, Richard of Glenview, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her husband was William Evans.
