- Clifford C. Whiting, Jr., 53, of Vineland, N.J., formerly of Evanston, died Aug. 3 in Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md. He was born in Evanston. Mr. Whiting is survived by his wife, Dorothy Williamson Whiting: a son, Clifford III of Somerset, N.J.; a daughter, Deborah Rapp of Bridgeton, N.J.; his parents, Florence and Clifford Whiting of Evanston; two grandchildren; and a brother, Robert C. Whiting of Wilmette.
