- Henry Schmidt, long-time Wilmette resident, died June 30 in a nursing home in Waukegan. He was buried on his 92nd birthday, July 3. Mr. Schmidt and his wife resided at 710 Washington Av. in Wilmette for nearly 50 years before moving in 1969 to the nursing home. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Curt (Catherine) Teich of Lake Forest; and a son, Henry, of New York.
Mr. Schmidt was the designer of the stained glass windows in St. Francis Xavier and St. Joseph Catholic Churches in Wilmette and many other Chicago area churches. - Date of Publication
