Mr. Albert W. Hawkes, 711 Central avenue, is at French Lick Springs, Indiana
Dr. and Mrs. C. G. Smith, 1925 Greenwood avenue, spent Sunday in La Grange, Illinois.
Mr. E. W. Anderson, [illegible] Twelfth street, has returned from an extended business trip in the west.
Miss Crumpacker of La Porte, Indiana, is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. E. M. Stafford, 936 Sheridan road.
Dr. and Mrs. B. M. Conley, 1113 Central Avenue, announce the birth of a son, Saturday, November 28.
Mrs. Alexander N. McCallum, [unclear] Central avenue, has as her guest, Miss Elsie Orlshaus [unclear] of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Mrs. Louis A. Clark of 716 Lake avenue will return next week from a two weeks visit in Mudlavia, Indiana.
Mr. Charles E. Lord, 515 Central avenue, will return tomorrow from a week's business trip to Springfield, Illinois.
Mr. Clarence H. Kavanaugh, [unclear] Hill street, is traveling in Oklahoma and Kansas this winter, purchasing broom corn
Miss Helen James, a dancing teacher of Chicago, was the guest of Mrs. Charles E. Lord, 515 Central avenue, Sunday
Miss Ruth Taft of Providence, Rhode Island, was the guest last week of her cousin, Mrs. B. G. [unclear] Calloway, 920 Linden avenue.
Mr. H. G. Williamson of Gainesville, [illegible], is spending the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. B. G. Calloway, 920 Linden avenue
Mrs. E. B. Rathbone of 710 Central avenue, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Parsons of Chicago, left yesterday for French Lick Springs, Indiana.
Messrs, Carl and Albert Schroeder of Omaha, Nebraska, are the guests of their cousin, Mr. Paul Schroeder, [unclear] Greenleaf street, this week
Jack Searle will return to his home this week from the Evanston hospital where he underwent an operation for appendicitis about three weeks ago.
Mrs. Alice Bradford and Mrs. R. F. [Ramon Fernandez] Nater of Porto [Puerto] Rico will be the guests of Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Eastman, 112 Central avenue, until after the holidays.
Mrs. William Charles Reinhold 1005 [unclear] Ashland avenue, will have as her guest this winter, her father, Mr. Mann of Philadelphia, Pa., a retired Methodist minister.
Mrs. Frank S. Lowry [Lower, Bower ?], 614 [unclear] Hill street, returned last week from a month's visit in Kalispell, Montana, stopping on her return trip in Minneapolis, Duluth and St. Paul, Minn.
Mr. Harry S. Thomas, 723 Forest avenue, left last weeek or New York, where he will be located in business in the future. Mrs. Thomas and the children will not go until after the first of the year.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lichless [unclear] and small daughter, Jane, of Bay City, Michigan, were the weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Watson, 932 [unclear] Forest avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Lichless will spend the winter in the south.
Mr. and Mrs. J. [unclear] A. MacLean, 916 Greenleaf street, had as their weekend guests Miss Edith Allen of La Grange and Mr. Alexander MacLean, formerly of Wilmette. Miss Allen and Mr. MacLean are to be married in the near future.
Rev. and Mrs. B. Frank Taber and Mr. and Mrs. P. R. Finlay attended the meeting of the Chicago Baptist Social Union held in the Hotel La Salle last Tuesday evening. The speaker was Dr. Frederick Lynch of New York, who had for his subject, "Impressions of the Conference of the Church Peace Union, held in [unclear] Switzerland. [illegible] conference was interrupted by the branching out of the war. Some of the delegations failed to reach the place of meeting, and others, including Mr. Lynch, had thrilling experiences in getting out of the war zone.- Featured Link
