- Margaret H. Slown of 1533 Washington Av. in Wilmette died June 22 in St. Francis Hospital, Evanston. Mrs. Slown, 74, was a life-long resident of the village. She is survived by a son, the Rev. John Slown, pastor of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic church in Joliet. Mrs. Slown is also survived by a daughter, Susan Bennett of Denver, Colo.; a granddaughter, Kathy; four brothers, Robert, John, William and Tony Schinler, all of Wilmette; and two sisters, Rose Engels and Dorothy Campanella, both of Wilmette. A funeral Mass was said June 24 at St. Magdalene church and June 26 at St. Joseph church by her son, the Rev. Mr. Slown.
